What do you get out of it?
Your bill arrives as a proper A4 document — the kind a company's accounts desk files without emailing you back. It is generated on the server, stored, and reachable by link, so the copy your customer has and the copy you have are the same copy.

Real A4, not a screenshot
The PDF is laid out at A4 with 12mm margins and rendered server-side from the invoice record. It prints on an ordinary office printer at the size the page was designed for, so nothing is cropped or scaled to fit.

Whichever invoice template your business has selected is the one used to render the PDF. Change the template and the next PDF follows, without touching a setting on the printer.

What situations does it handle?
You edited the invoice after sending it
Regenerate the PDF from the invoice and the stored file is replaced with the corrected document. The invoice number stays the same, so your books and your customer's do not diverge.
A long bill that runs past one page
The item table flows onto the next page rather than being squeezed onto one. A wholesale invoice with forty lines stays readable.
You are not GST registered
Leave your GSTIN blank and the tax columns are omitted — the PDF prints as a plain bill rather than a tax invoice with empty boxes.
Your customer wants it on letterhead
The Corporate template carries your logo at the top and a terms footer at the bottom, which is usually what a B2B buyer means when they ask for something on letterhead.
How do you get more out of it?
- Pick your template once in Settings before you start billing — every PDF from then on carries it, and you never think about layout again.
- Send the PDF on WhatsApp with a payment link attached; for B2B customers the document and the way to pay it arriving together is what shortens the wait.
- For a customer who files by paper, print A4. For the person standing at your counter, print the 80mm receipt from the same bill — same invoice number on both.
- At year end, the stored PDFs are your archive. Your accountant can be handed links rather than a folder of scans.
Common questions
Can I download the invoice as a PDF?
Yes. Every invoice is rendered as an A4 PDF and stored against that invoice, so you can open, download, print or re-send it at any time — not just at the moment you raised it.
Will it print properly on a normal printer?
Yes. The page is set to A4 with 12mm margins, so an ordinary office or home printer produces the document at full size with nothing cut off at the edges.
Can I change how the invoice looks?
Yes. Pick from the invoice templates in Settings and the PDF renders in that style. You can switch whenever you like; existing PDFs keep the style they were made with, and new ones follow the current choice.
I corrected an invoice — do I have to send a new number?
No. Regenerate the PDF and the stored document is replaced under the same invoice number, so the corrected version is what anyone opening the link sees.
Does the PDF include GST details?
Where you are registered, yes — your GSTIN, the customer's GSTIN on B2B bills, the HSN code against each line, the tax rate and amount, totals and a QR code. If you are not registered, the tax columns are left out.
