Billing software for the shop that runs on trust and small change

GST bills in seconds, udhar that lives in a ledger instead of a notebook, and stock that tells you what to buy before a regular walks out empty-handed. Free to start, on the phone you own.

Billing a customer in the Wiseventory app on a phone

A kirana counter is not a supermarket checkout

Small baskets, thin margins, and half the street on credit. The software has to be quicker than the calculator it replaces, or it goes back in the drawer by the second week.

Scan the packet, done

Point your phone camera at the barcode on a biscuit packet or a shampoo sachet and it lands on the bill, priced and checked against stock. No scanner gun needed, though one works if you have it.

Udhar, without the notebook

Regulars who pay at month end get a ledger instead of a diary page. Every credit sale lands against their name, you see what is outstanding and how long it has been, and a reminder goes out on WhatsApp.

Know before the shelf empties

Set a minimum on the lines that matter and the low-stock list tells you what to reorder before a regular walks out because you were out of their brand.

What you actually made today

Selling price against what you paid, per product and per day. The fast-moving item with the thin margin stops hiding behind the total.

A printed bill changes how the shop is seen

Pair an 80mm Bluetooth printer once and the customer walks away with a receipt carrying your shop name, your GSTIN and the tax split — not a torn slip with a number on it. The same bill can go out on WhatsApp with a payment link attached, which is often what settles an old udhar balance.

Five invoice styles are built in for the A4 bills your B2B buyers ask for. See how billing works.

What changes in the first week

Adding up on a calculator while three people wait
Scan, scan, total — the queue moves
A credit notebook that only you can read
Each customer's dues on the screen, with the dates
Finding out a line is finished when someone asks for it
A low-stock list you can read before you go to the market
Guessing the day's earning from the cash in the drawer
Sales, cost and what's still owed to you, per day

What kirana owners ask first

Is it usable if I only have fifty or sixty products?

Yes, and that is the sensible way to start. Put in the lines that move fastest, bill those from today, and add the rest as stock arrives. You do not have to load the whole shop before the software is useful, and there is no minimum number of products.

How does udhar work?

Every customer carries a ledger. When someone takes goods on credit the amount sits against their name, and you can see the total outstanding and how long it has been unpaid. Record a part payment and the balance updates — including when they clear half of it in cash and half by UPI. Reminders go out on WhatsApp with a payment link attached.

Most of my stock is 0% or 5% GST. Does that work?

Yes. Set the HSN code and rate against each product once and every bill applies it. Unbranded loose staples and pre-packaged labelled goods fall on different sides of the line, so where you sell both, keep them as separate products with their own rates. If you are not GST registered at all, leave your GSTIN blank and bills come out as plain invoices.

What do I hand my accountant at month end?

Wiseventory produces GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B as a PDF for any month you choose, built from the bills you already raised, with the B2B and B2C split and an HSN summary. It is a report your accountant reads and files from — Wiseventory does not upload to the GST portal for you.

Can I record what I buy from my distributor?

Yes. Raise a purchase order, receive against it when the goods land, and stock goes up while what you owe that supplier is recorded. The last price you paid stays on the product, which is the number worth having in front of you the next time the distributor quotes.

What does it cost?

The free plan does not expire and carries monthly caps on invoices and products. Beyond that it is ₹1,499 for six months or ₹2,499 for a year, with every feature included — there are no tiers to compare and nothing sold as an add-on.

Put today's sales on the phone instead of in your head
